Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. Her early years were shaped by Boleros, classical music and the classic romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she started intensive training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with classical Latin American music at private occasions. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
